In this paper an improved automatic mesh generation method for FEA using a dynamic bubble system is presented. The proposed method features two separate routines; one for automatic generation of a set of nodes in accordance with the desired mesh density and the Second Newton's Law of dynamics, and one for automatic generation of nite elements according to the Delaunay algorithm and using a set of nodes generated from the previous routine. Generation of bubbles is performed frontally | starting from vertices and edges, and ending with surfaces and volumes of the analysis region after which a dynamic movement of generated bubbles is performed. The proposed method enables easy mesh density control using simple exponential functions with very small amount of input data and very short computation time. It is applicable for automatic mesh generation of complex shapes and structures such as those usually encountered in various electromagnetic devices (rotating machines and transformers).
